WITH THE WIDESPREAD USE OF THE INTERNET, CYBERBULLYING HAS BECOME A SERIOUS ISSUE, AND CHILDHOOD TRAUMA MAY HAVE PROFOUND EFFECTS ON AN INDIVIDUAL&#8217;S PSYCHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND BEHAVIORAL PATTERNS. THE STUDY INVOLVED 221 UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN MACAU AS THE RESEARCH SAMPLE. USING A QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY METHOD, DATA WERE COLLECTED ON THEIR CHILDHOOD TRAUMA EXPERIENCES (E.G., EMOTIONAL NEGLECT, EMOTIONAL ABUSE) AND CYBERBULLYING BEHAVIORS (INCLUDING BOTH PERPETRATOR AND VICTIM ROLES), WHILE ALSO INCORPORATING PERSONAL AND FAMILY FACTORS TO EXAMINE THEIR INTERRELATIONSHIPS. THE FINDINGS REVEALED THAT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WHO EXPERIENCED CHILDHOOD TRAUMA WERE MORE LIKELY TO ENGAGE IN CYBERBULLYING BEHAVIORS, WHETHER AS PERPETRATORS OR VICTIMS. ADDITIONALLY, GENDER DIFFERENCES WERE OBSERVED IN PARTICIPATION IN CYBERBULLYING. FURTHERMORE, STUDENTS FROM SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES OR THOSE WHOSE PARENTS WORKED IN SHIFT-BASED JOBS WERE MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO BECOMING VICTIMS OF CYBERBULLYING. GIVEN THE SCARCITY OF PREVIOUS RESEARCH IN MACAU ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHILDHOOD TRAUMA AND CYBERBULLYING AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, THE RESULTS OF THIS STUDY CAN PROVIDE POLICYMAKERS, HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, PARENTS, AND STUDENTS WITH PRELIMINARY DATA AND GUIDANCE.
