WITH THE IMPROVEMENT OF LIVING STANDARDS, THE TRADITIONAL STATIC DISSEMINATION MODES OF CHAOSHAN INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE (ICH) CAN HARDLY RESONATE WITH YOUNG AUDIENCES AND HINDER THE CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING OF OVERSEAS GROUPS. SMART WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY PROVIDES AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH FOR THE DESIGN AND UPGRADING OF ICH CULTURAL AND CREATIVE PRODUCTS. TAKING CUSTOM BROOCHES AS THE CARRIER, THIS DISSERTATION EXPLORES INNOVATIVE LIVING TRANSMISSION MODES OF CHAOSHAN ICH BASED ON SMART WEARABLE DESIGN. THIS DISSERTATION ADOPTS A MIXED RESEARCH METHODOLOGY, INCLUDING LITERATURE REVIEW, QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE USER RESEARCH, CASE ANALYSIS, DESIGN PRACTICE AND PROTOTYPE TESTING. BASED ON 434 VALID QUESTIONNAIRES AND 15 ONE-ON-ONE IN-DEPTH USER INTERVIEWS, THIS DISSERTATION SYSTEMATICALLY ANALYZES USER NEEDS AND DEFINES THE OVERALL DESIGN DIRECTION. CURRENT DIGITAL PRACTICES OF CHAOSHAN ICH ARE LIMITED BY SUPERFICIAL TECHNICAL INTEGRATION AND OUTDATED PRESENTATION FORMS. THIS DISSERTATION REFINES CORE CULTURAL SYMBOLS OF CHAOSHAN ICH AND RECONSTRUCTS THEM VIA MODERN VISUAL TRANSLATION STRATEGIES. COMBINED WITH DETACHABLE MAGNETIC PATTERN PANELS AND TRILINGUAL AUDIO PLAYBACK MODULES, AN INTERACTIVE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE SYSTEM FOR LOCAL ICH COMMUNICATION IS CONSTRUCTED IN THIS RESEARCH. THIS DISSERTATION SUMMARIZES THE CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE SMART ICH BROOCH PROTOTYPE AND ESTABLISHES A COMPLETE INTELLIGENT DESIGN FRAMEWORK FOR ICH CULTURAL AND CREATIVE PRODUCTS. IT ADDRESSES THE SINGLE-CHANNEL DISSEMINATION LIMITATION OF TRADITIONAL CHAOSHAN ICH INHERITANCE AND PROVIDES A FEASIBLE SOLUTION FOR POPULARIZING CHAOSHAN ICH AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE. THE PROTOTYPE SUPPORTS SUBSEQUENT INDUSTRIAL OPTIMIZATION AND MASS PRODUCTION, AND THE PROPOSED DESIGN FRAMEWORK CAN BE APPLIED TO THE INNOVATIVE DESIGN OF OTHER REGIONAL ICH PROJECTS.
