聖若瑟大學為推廣多元文化交流及共融，將於4月20日12時30分舉辦國際文化嘉年華。大學40多個不同國籍的師生將帶來各國美食及攤位。
適逢本校嘉年華及為響應423世界閱讀日，聖大圖書館將化身成「藍調書咖」，圖書館員帶領參加者認識西式的「藍曬（Cyanotype Printing)」技術以及體驗中國貴州植物藍染中的「紮染（Tie & Dye)」工藝。參加者隨即可發揮創作力創造出獨一無二的作品。除了藝術工作坊外， 圖書館還提供了心理工作坊，旨在為參與者提供有趣且引人入勝的體驗。
此外，參加者還可以在「咖啡角」享受美味的飲品，放鬆和社交。
To foster diverse cultural interchange, the University of Saint Joseph is excited to announce the upcoming International Cultural Carnival scheduled on April 20th, 2024 (12:30 pm – 17:00 pm).
The USJ Library will host a series of activities on the 1st floor of the Residencial Hall at USJ. Among these activities, participants will be introduced to the techniques of Cyanotype Printing and Tie & Dye by our librarians. Participants will also have the chance to experiment with these activities and create their own unique artworks. In addition to the artistic workshop, the Library also offers a psychological workshop aimed at providing a fun and engaging experience for attendees.
Plus, a cozy coffee corner was set for attendees to relax and socialize. Join us for a day of cultural exploration and community engagement.

藍曬工作坊 ｜ CYANOTYPE PRINTING
「藍曬法」是英國科學家赫歇爾(John Frederick William Herschel )發明的一種複印方法，這在當時是一種較有效率且穩定的製圖方法。
The cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces blue prints using coated paper and light. The process was discovered by the scientist and astronomer Sir John Herschel in 1842.
紮染工作坊 ｜ TIE & DYE
紮染是一種具有傳統風格的手工染色技術，源自於古代的中國。它將天然的染料製成獨特的花紋和圖案。這種傳統技藝不僅展現了人們對自然美的追求，也讓我們感受到古老文化的深厚底蘊。讓我們一起珍惜這樣美麗的藝術，讓紮染成為我們生活中的一部分吧！
Tie-dye is a traditional hand-dyeing technique that originated in ancient China. It uses natural dyes to create unique patterns. This traditional technique shows the human sense of beauty and the knowledge of cultural heritage. Let’s experience the tie-dye and made the artwork together!
