Instructions, Workshops & Training

Atomic Library is a newly launched program about information literacy education at USJ Library. Defined by Information Literacy Competency standards for Higher Education (2000), information literate(s) is able to :

1. Determine the extent of information needed
2. Access the needed information effectively and efficiently
3. Evaluate information and its sources critically

This program is ideally named by the concept of Atomic Habits (written by James Clear). By reading the materials in the Atomic Library, we will help you building up the concept of:

1.   How does information involve our lives?
2.   How to use information?
3.   How do I evaluate the value of those information?
4.   How do I transfer information to knowledge?

We understand your busy and tight schedule for study and work, and you probably lack the free time to join our offline workshops. Atomic Library provides an online information literacy program to assist your study and research 24/7.

Furthermore, Library offers an information literacy program on a face-to-face basis. We can provide in-class workshops or small group instructions in Chinese or English.

Please choose your category and fill out the form. We will contact you ASAP.
